Default Subframe Connector?

1) Is there any preferred brand out there?

2) How much should a shop charge me to weld in a set of subframe connectors?

+1 On tinman. Put on my 70 Mach - nice fit. Welded up myself. Was pretty easy. Muffler shop should be able to do in 1 hour.

Yup.. I've got the Tin Man Fabrication ones on our 67 and its makes a world of difference! Easy install and (depending on) the shop should be able to do it for 1 to 2 hours labor.

DAMN, you guys are fast. I usually use TCP. And it takes 3-4 hrs. They wrap around the frame rails up front and lay flat against inner frame rails in the rear. But take a good bit of massaging to fit the usually. Especially to lay flat on the back rails.

But the best is use the floor. TIME consuming, but worth the extra effort.

I used the TinMan also and it took the muffler ship less than an hour to install them. I think it cost me about fifty bucks.

Did you use a chain store or a small local shop? Is a muffler shop the best place to take it? Thanks!

They get welded at various points in the front rails since they slide right up inside them a fair distance. I think I had 8 spot welds inside and outside the front rails as well as along the joint. Also they get a fair bit or solid welding on the rear rails. Once installed the difference in the cars stiffness was incredible.
