83 GT lots of perf parts, project
1983 White with factory fresh air hood. This hood has a factory hole with a rear facing scoop. I have seen a few others like this through the years but not many. the body is overall very straight. The drivers door has been replaced and the drivers fender (not yet installed). It needs a front bumper cover. It is still in the factory white paint with the factory black hood center. It has the motorsport factory 140 MPH spedometer, and had new gas charged shocks and struts 500 miles before parked.
Now for the good stuff... I bought a new ford motorsport 3.73 posi rear end and installed it. I Bought a rolled mustang with 23,000 miles on it and pulled the 5 speed and installed it in this car, in other words it has a very good 5 speed trans. I used a good high performance clutch kit too. It has full length headers connected to the factory exhaust that exits out the back, no cats. I pulled the motor and had it hot tanked, line bored, cylinders bored .030, crank ground .010 010. double roller chain, new cam bearings, comp cams 280 cam and lifters, Wieand stealth intake, holley 750 vac sec, Accel super coil, Accel distributor, new radiator, Hp oil pump, a little head work, and more.
This car ran super strong, I took it easy the first 1000 miles to allow the engine to break in, and I never ran it all out, max revs 5200 after break in, I wanted it to last. One day just after the second oil change, about 2500 miles the oil pump drive shaft broke. I shut it down right away, and trailered it home. I was going to pull the motor and fix it, but something happened and it never got done. It has been sitting for about 5 years in the country, and I dont want to see it sit and rot so I decided to sell it.
The interior is all stock and shows its age. This car is not beat up cut up or butchered in any way, except for the emissions system LOL.
This car is located in north Texas near Denton First $1500 cash takes it, might consider partial trade for 4 wheelers, motorcycles, guns, or other interesting man toys.
Thanks for the add.
