Default Locking Gas Cap

I have been looking around for a bit for a locking gas cap and have hated almost all of the aftermarket ones. But recently at a car show a few guys had a steel rod coming through the inside of the trunk to there original gas cap. Does anyone else know more about this cause i am really interested in doing this then buying an aftermarket gas cap

Yea ive seen them as well. I am just curious on the amount of installation and difficulty to do this. I dont want a hole in the back of my trunk if i miss!
