Thread not included in "Most Active Topics"?

Thread not included in "Most Active Topics"?
I have contributed to a couple of threads that got kind of long, but they are not included in the "Most Active Topics" area, Why? Just wondering.
Is there a minimum number of "views" required as well as the number of posts?, or are "controversial" issues not included?
