Hey ROTM, the other day while posting a reply somewhere in this form, I got the duplicate post message again only this time it wasn't in the Newbie section. However, I have been able to welcome in new members using the same "welcome to mf's" repeatedly without the DP message.
thanks.

Default Slooow....

There is definitely a performance problem with site. Painfully slow on most page refreshes. Been a problem ever since the site was re-designed. I don't visit here nearly as much as I used to because of this issue. If I was a sponser, I would be concerned. Although this can't be a new issue with admin, nothing seems to get done to improve the situation. There hardly could be a more important problem for a web forum to solve.

It's almost as if it's just as simple as clicking on a few boxes in a program to fix everything.

Almost.

It's slow as molasses for me as well. I get double post errors sometimes when I am not actually double posting. I click to post the reply, it sits and sits, then pops up with that message. Navigating the forums often results in long pauses of 30-60 seconds or even worse.

The problem is *somewhat* intermittent. At times it seems a bit faster and doesn't lag like that. But it is never quick for me. And that's both at work and at home.

EDIT:
LOL, it did it to me when I made this post.
