Default IM NEW HERE!

HI everyone. i just joined and i have a bunch of pics of my stang i wanna put up but i think theyre too big of a file. does anyone know how to make it so i can post them? any help would be appreciated! thanks!

for uploading pics, it depends on how you want to upload them. if you want to upload them directly to the forum, the best way is to create a 'garage'. from there you can upload your pics as long as they are no bigger than 600x600 and 97kb. another way (if you plan on uploading them to a specific thread, for example) is to get an image hosting account (photobucket, imageshack, etc), then link them using the image code (which is [img] link to file [/img]). file size doesn't matter as much this way, but it is still recommended to keep the dimensions no larger than ~800x800 px. if you don't have any photoediting software, i think most image hosting sites have their own editing tools to adjust the size.

you can edit photos with GIMP add any plugin filters you may want and you can download it free.
