Default Not a Mustang question but im sure you could help

Question on Camaros. What year was the LS1 in the Z28? 99-02? and if so what was in the previous generation?
Do they break easily/ are repairs expensive?

o and I ask b/c I see 2 z28s for sale near me for like 3k with like 70-80k miles. I figure they'd be a good car to have fun with.
