Default 1996 3rd party radio removal

Can't use the standard radio removal tools here. My car had an Alpine unit installed before I bought the car. I think I need to remove the console trim to get access to the radio but I can't figure out how the plastic comes off. I've removed the two screws directly below the radio, but what do I do from there? It still seems to be firmly attached. Anybody have a link to a diagram? Thanks for the help!

you need to remove the cd player to remove the ac/radio trim. it has a tray that reaches back behind your dash and thats where the cd player rests on. there is one screm under that tray/support that hold the entire trim to the back of your dash. in short, you cant take it out unless you get your cd player out and unscrew that support.

see that plastic support that reaches behind the bezel? thats what needs to be unscrewed to get the whole thing off.

You should be able to pull the cd player out... My panasonic has a removeable face and it comes out by using 2 screwdrivers and popping it out from the sides...
