ok my uncle got a 96 mustang police interceptor, and he was wondering what engine it comes with, what performance you can do to it. if anybody has information please tell so i can let him now.

yeah that what i was thinking but my uncle told me that its a 5.0L HK, and don't 5.0 make more power than the 4.6, cuz would they put the strongest engine in a cop car.

Not necessarily.The 4.6 is a bad *** little motor.Either motor would rock but being that its a 96 im going to bet its a 4.6.Theyre real easy to tell apart theyre night and day differences.

All a police motor has is a beefed up cooling system,oil cooler,better suspension,and a few other small things thats it.Still a good find and a lot of fun.

Check to see if its a 4.6 if so it will be the outer diameter of a big block those motors for being small displacement are suprisingly big.

cool thanks, hey if its either the 5.OL or the 4.6L it would still be from a normal mustang and you can buy performance parts for it right,

it's a 4.6.. most just have upgrade on cooling and charging system upgrade sway bars..don't know of any 4 cam'ers yet

if my uncle wants performance parts for it, cams, flywheel, intake, etc, will they be the same as a reg96 mustang
