Driver's Window Will Not Roll Up

I have a 2001 Mustang Cobra. The driver's side window is stuck in the down position. The passenger side window rolls down and up with no problem. There is power when you push the down button on the driver's side as you hear a slight noise from the motor, but receive no response when you attempt to roll the window up. I believe the problem is NOT with the window being off track as there is no noise from the motor when trying to roll the window up. I'm looking for possible suggestions, such as a bad switch, etc to try. HELP!

Thanks in advance!

RE: Driver's Window Will Not Roll Up

I had the exact issue with my 01 GT and this is what I honetly did:

-Took off the door panel
-Tried to push the window up while pressing the switch
-Checked the fuses
-Checked the connections
-The last thing, and I kid you not... hit the door motor twice with the side of my fist, and it worked :)

Who says you need a technical reason for everything... :P

Try banging on the middle of the inside of the door. I have gotten many windows up that way. If not, you will need to remove the door panel to see what's going on.

so i thought why not so i ran out to the garage and hit it , it went up perfectly WOW unbelievable. My ? is why whats really happening? is something going bad or what?
do i have to worry about this problem forever now or do i just keep hitting it?
