What's faster???

hey guys im thinkin bout buyin a new stang... what would be faster a 5.0 or the 4.6?? i heard the 4.6 because for has it better tuned and tehres some little stuff that is in there that helps make more horsepower, but on the other hand i heard the 5.0's are easier to mod... give me you feedback and ur opinion. Thanks a lot

RE: What's faster???

stock for stock prolly the 4.6 but the cost of one is usually serval grand more then the cost of a 5.0 and i would honestly buy a 5.0 and just the extra money left over and change a few of the weak points on the 5.0. for instance the exhasut and a intake manifold those are 2 of the most restrictive parts on a 5.0 and then after that u would be faster than a 4.6 and still prolly be under the price of buying a stock 4.6

RE: What's faster???

ok so is there a noticeable increase in the amount of horsepower between the HO and the straight 5.0?

im not sure but i don't think they made a mustang without the ho 5.0

btw the 96-98 is the 4.6

the 00-04 mustang 4.6s are faster than 5.0s but like said earlier they will cost you more, and 5.0s are so cheap to mod...

its all up to you

RE: What's faster???

5.0's are a TON cheaper to make fast if thats your goal.

RE: What's faster???

Some people think the 5.0's are ugly. Some are and some aren't.

I would like to get a 92 LX' and make it a track car.

Turbo, nasty exhaust, stroker block, and a 4" cowl hood: SEXXXYYY!!
