Has anyone seen/ heard when the new C&L lower intake manifold is going to be released? I read in MMFF it was the end of this month but I havent seen anything else to support that...

I don't think they said the end of this month, I thought it was going to be before the summer. From the sound of it, they still had alot of testing to do.

ORIGINAL: 100th96cobra

bullit intake is the biggest waste of money on NA cars

I just got a kit on ebay for $780.00, about half price of a new one.
I suppose, it may appear to be a waste of money.
$1000-$1500 for 10-15 hp would be expensive, certainly there are less expensive ways to make hp. If adding hp was my only objective.
HOWEVER-
I have more than horsepower in mind. I have done some homework and most street legal 4.6 2v motor that I saw (naturally aspirated or supercharged) starts with either the SVO intake or the Bullitt intake (which are very similar). So I am leaving my options open for the future if I want to stay n/a or add nitrous or a supercharger, I have a good intake. I also like to use Ford and Motorcraft parts wherever possible, and this will allow me to get a larger Ford throttle body (cobra, mach 1, or sc cobra). I dont like the idea of having that black plastic piece of crap in the top of my engine.
