Default Air in intake tube, MAS???

I am sure that someone has had to see this before. I was changing my intake today, on my 03' SVT Cobra, and i came across something that kinda freaked me out and caused some concern. As i took off the intake tube, that attatched to the MAS, there was a slight oily slick, kind of a THIN layer, of dried up oil. I thought it might have something to do with the vacuum line, or whatever the tube is that connects to the valve cover, but there was no oil residue in the tube. Has anyone ever seen this, does anyone know what this is??? Any help is deeply appreciated.
