Ford FRPP has beveled edges so the teeth fit perfectly and dont create metal particles in your fluid, that extra machining process is why they are more expensive. IMO they are the best.

i have motive 4.10s and are shimmed perfectly and still make some noise there sending me a new set so i would go with the ford racing ones

F-O-R-D R-A-C-I-N-G! Try Royal Purple in the rearend with new gears. Works wonders. No friction additive needed either. Royal Purple in the engine, tranny and rearend......hmmm......kinda sounds like a sequel to Brokeback Mountain! Good stuff though.

uh oh. post bump. im getting ford to install my 4.10's, do i just give 'em the gears and thats it? do i need the kit or anything, or anything i shouuld have them do while my rearend is open (LOL)? anything i need to know?

what else is involved?
