91 5.0 LX vert w/ Mac shorties, BBK X pipe w/ cats, and MAC after cat now modified w/ dumps on account of the anti-roll bar. Sounds great, but is rather loud. Never been pulled over, but the Polizei haven't heard it yet. At highway speed, forget about talking, just sit back and listen to sound of roaring American muscle.

I had Mac's on my 99 GT Convertible. I absolutely loved them. If I was going to do it again, thats the exhaust I'd put on again.

Funny that! I just bought a flow path mac catback system. It will be attached to my bassani x-pipe and stock manifolds. You think it'll be as loud as yours, verter2? I certainly hope not, especially sinse I have stock manifolds. Here they are. Tell me what you all think:

Gaspi, I can't say for sure, but I imagine it won't be quite as loud if your still using the stock exhaust manifolds. All I know is that at highway speeds I can't hear a darn thing except the exhaust, but for me that sound is better than anything playing on the radio.

Thanks, verter. I agree. That sound is beeautiful. Problem is, I'm married, and if I want to go out with my wife, she will make me go in her Jeep instead because of the exhaust sound. So it's not that I disagree with you--The sound of a mean v8 growling is as close to acoustic ecstacy as you can get--but If it's too loud, I won't be going cruising to the beach, etc., unless I'm alone or with my buds.

I certainly hope you're right about the headers. What I'll do is take a video of the "before" sound, and then a video of the "after" the installation of the MAC flow paths. I'll post it as soon as I install. UPS says delivey will be on thursday. If so, I'll post on Thursday night.

Thanks everyone!

Check out mustangexhaust.com You can pull up sound clips from many different combinations, like cat back + H pipe, or LT headers, X-pipe and Cat back for many of the models out there. It might help with your decision. Good Luck
