Default big block swap into sn95

I have a 94 gt that currently has a built 306 and runs good but I want to do a 460 swap into it. What all would I need to do the swap? I know motor mounts, oil pan, and headers for sure. The 460 is in good running condition but will be built up and freshened up a little before it hits the street. It also comes with the matching c6 tranny that I will have built and tansbrake installed. Yes this is going to be a drag car that sees a little street time. Any help is appreciated, please don't jack the thread with useless chatter. Thanks, Mark

BTW, the car is already carb'ed so I won't have to worry about the fuel injection stuff but I plan on a bigger carb.

Never done the new generation swaps, always fox's but I would suggest a motor plate atleast in the front. Also not sure about the radiator/fan situation. That might be touchy as far as clearance. More than likely have to go to an electric with a good fan shroud to provide sufficient cooling. Let me think some more

Search ebay for Mustang 460 Motor mounts, its for Fox bodies. The 460 Mounts will fit the 94/95 K member but I do not know what clearance will be at the firewall or the radiator. Its possible though, you will have to look at clearances first, check out the oil pan recomendations and see what you need to put behind that engine, if you can make it a manual or just put a C6 behind it.

Well good luck with that, sorry I dont know more.

Waist of money and time. You will just end up with a poorly balanced car that is slower than it should be. Performance parts for the 460 are not that plentyfull and the engine would need a total and complete overhaul, at which point you might as well just build a 351 based 408 that is lighter and more powerfull. Not to mention much easier to work on and install.

460 parts are not plentiful? And a stroked 351 more powerful than the big blocks? Whatever you are smoking I need some badly. The guy wants to be unique and not like the 40 million other lame small block mustangs on every corner, do it to it.

Just speaking from my experiance man, 90% of the 460 swappeed Stangs I have seen are turds. Are going to tell me that there are more head choices for the big blocks? I don't think so. If he wants to be differant buy a 72 Beetle and drop a turbo buick motor in it. Personally I shoot for the most bang for the buck and want to go as fast as possible for the money.

I know there are parts for them, but no where near as much of a chioce or as advanced designs as what the small blocks have.
