if you read his post, he said he was deciding between a 94/95 5.0 or a 96-98 4.6
the difference in power isnt much between those models, and you can build up a 5.0 a lot easier and cheaper than the 4.6

[sm=drlove.gif] man i love ketchup!
as for cars, the 5.0 is probably the better choice wen comparin a 95 with a 96, just for the cost factor
newer 4.6s are a different story tho.....

If youre lookign SOLELY at 94-98 like you've said.. then consider a 96-98 Cobra.
I'm sure you can find a decent mileage one for a bit more than a 94-98 GT, but it will DEFINATELY be worth it. The Cobra is capable of a 14-14.2 quarter stock, which is considerably better than any GT of the time.
But if you'd rather just have a GT, 5.0 is a better platform than a Non PI 4.6
GOOD LUCK

RE: 5.0 or 4.6 for street driving?
Thanks for the imput guys, I guess with a 96+ you could do a PI h/c/i swap and hand the 5 its ***. On the other hand, I guess if you took the money saved from going 5.0 and not having to do a swap, you could put that cash towards the 5.0 and hand a PI 4.6 its ***. So I guess the 5.0 will always come out on top performance/dollar wise compared to the NPI 4.6, is this correct?
Does anyone know the gas mileage of the 4.6 compared to the 5.0? Im guessing the 5.0 being based back in the 60's gets poor mileage compared to the 4.6, but I could be wrong. Anybody have anything on this?

Forget the whole stock vs. stock arguement. How long does a Mustang stay stock anyway? If you are going to limit yourself to the slow 5.0 (94-95) vs. the slow 4.6 (96-98), then the 5.0 wins. But just cut to the chase here, 5.0 foxbody FTW!
