Hey wassup im new here... im 17 and i just bought my first mustang. It's a 96 V6.

there are 2 things that i wanted to do with this

1. What is the best way to convert this to dual exhaust... and really i would want this AS LOUD AS IT CAN BE... with out sounding like an import. I want it to sound .. mean... my dad said that he used to use " THRUSH" muffleres. Anyways how would i go at it to make it dual and loud.. with a good sound?

2. I have always loved the ways people jacked up there back end with air shocks. I was wondering if this was possible with my car. I know its a lot more rough driving but i just love the look. What would be the best way to do this i was hoping for maybe a 7-9 inch raise in the back.

Would running straught pipes with no cats and just 2 mufflers work?

or would that sound like an import



also i just called lukaviches and they say that air shocks will only raise the car 4 inches


any suggestions?

I don't think you want to raise your back end up 7 ot 9 inches, unless you want to fall out of your drivers seat. That's a whole lotta wheel well showing.

take old exhaust off and get muffler shop to make you an exhaust system with no mufflers or cats

the best way to solve your problem is to get an slp loudmouth 2 cat-back. there loud,, reel reel loud. also dont raise the back just get a set of lowering springs and just put them in the front. if you like the look roll with it. if not put the back ones in too!

a loud v6 sounds really bad, like BLAHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhh hhhh hhhh h h.

+1 There is only so loud you can go with a V6 without making it sound like 20 cats dying.

go to the V6 section and check out the exhaust sound clip section.
should find something your interested in there.

I used to have a 94 ford exploer. 4.0L v6... I had the exhaust done just right on there, it had a nice beefy tone and you could hear it well, but it wasn't too ricey sounding. My cousin now owns it, and I saw him yesterday and as he drove off it still sounded mean!

The muffler I used was a thrush turbo muffler...


Where you at? There is an excellent exhaust shop in countryside that we used before
