Sup out there, i just wanted to know if anybody can help me give my 73' stang some more power? It's a 72 block 302, right now i have a edelbrock performer intake and a edelbrock 600 carb. The motor only has 27000 on it. It was rebuilt, blueprinted and balanced, it's bored .40 over and the crank is .10 over. I also have dual straight pipes with flowmasters out the back. Sounds good but all show and not enough go. I want to know what size cam i should get? Headers: long or short? Roller Rockers? i have a guy who's gonna port it, so i just need to know what parts are good, and what aren't, trying to spend under $1500 in parts.. thx

well, my advice is to just get some shorty headers next. Long tubes are nice but they are a lot harder to get in and you might need to modify the rest of your exhaust with them. the extra bit you might get from long tubes isnt worth the trouble right now. But if your planning on modding the car a lot further you might want to go with long tubes. They will work out better in the long run.

add a crossover tube on the exhaust system if you don't have one already as this will help out with the low end torque. headers will definitely be a plus also, either long or short.
