is it possible to put a 302 in a 77 mustang cobra
 

im looking at getting a 77 mustang cobra but it has a 4 cylinder engine that i don't car for i was wandering if it is possible to take out the little 4 banger and drop something better in it? i like the body style and everything i just want a bigger engine in it. some one let me know.

I know that some mustang 2s did come with 302s from the factory, so it sould be possible to put one in if you have afair bit of mechanical abilities

first thing you need to do is seriously check into that car.if it is a mustang 2 cobra,they never came with a four banger.that person might be trying to pull one over on you.

+1, The cobra had a body kit on it and a 302. I had a 76 that I put a 302 in bolted right up. Painted her black, shackled up the rear, fat tires, looked pretty bitchin.
