How hard to install A/C compressor?
Well, i kinda destroyed my a/c compressor trying to recharge the system (there's a reason they tell you don't turn the bottle upside down.) I've picked up a brand new one for cheap ($50) any idea how hard it is to install?

I'm planning on doing a similar fix on mine soon too. A/C has been spotty at best and the refrigerant is correct. (I checked it with gauges). Mine though is just a matter of just plain worn out I believe. Either my clutch or compressor is out.
It will run mediocre for the first few miles, then run warm, then after about 20 minutes of driving it's A'ok and blows nice cold air.
I do know you will need to discharge the existing refrigerant that's in there and replace the Accumulator/Drier at the same time you do your compressor. You will then have to take it to a shop to have them evacuate/flush your system and properly recharge it.
The reason I say a shop to do the last part is because if there is any moisture in the system it will screw up your system in short order and you'll be back to square one.

Its rather simple and straight forward to install it. I believe its only three bolts two lines and one wire. With average mechanical skills it will take an hour
