I don't really race my car on the track but I would really like to know what I have on my 01 SVT, I found these numbers for the 99' SVT...

Acceleration: 0-30 mph: 2.25 sec. 0-60 mph: 5.41 sec.
1/4 mile: 13.51 sec. @ 103.45 mph

is the 01' any better than that or about the same? does anyone by anychance?

They were way off on the '99. Ford actually had to fix them b/c they were overrated out of the factory.

Wow, they were slightly biased.

I can see how two cars that weigh roughly 3400lb, one having slightly more hp than the other, one haveing more torque than the other, yet the car with more hp and more torque is equal to the other car. Hell, the Maro even trapped a couple mph higher. I guess it's torque must have been a disadvantage....weird.

IMO, the article is wrong. But hey, anything can happen. Why would they test a '98 against an '01 anyway?

BTW, go with the Mach 1.

I think SVT improved on the cobra after 99. But a 13.5 no way...More like low 14's very high 13's... The 99+ Z28/Birds would out run the cobra....There was no need to try and compare it against the SS OR the DUB S 6.....(ws6) So i think those numbers are way off on the performance data i have.
