I really had my heart set on an F-Body, but lately I have been considering a Foxbody 5.0 GT that and only that as far as Mustangs go. If I get R/A or exhaust on a F-Body I can run high 13s already (LT1 engine). What kind of stuff would I need for a Mustang to get there. I know next to nothing about Mustangs, I've been a DSM and F-Body guy for awhile, thnx

I have had both cars dude I had 1980 camaro with 396 big block with all the goodies done to it, that car ran low 9's, Then I bought 79 stang 2.8L V6, I got a sweet deal to purchase a wrecked 93 5.0L Lx coupe, So I converted 93 5.0L over to the 79 stang, Alot of work it sure paided off with the results I got a few pics of my stang I have now

If you get an LX 5.0 you're not gonna need much if you can drive it. The lighness of those makes a big differance. Gears, exhuast, pullies and a couple other things and you could get it done I think, or at least close.

But if you CAN'T drive(like me!) then You'll may need as many mods as I have to get there...

Maxing out 4th tho and granny shifting got me that.

I drove a 88 GT today. It had a clutch, full exhaust system, and "claimed" internal work. Though I never punched it, it pulled the same as my lightly modded N/A Eclipse when I had it. I'm sorry guys, that turned me off big time. Correct me if I'm wrong, but how can a car with HP/T 200/300 run mid 15s stock? Thats really bad. I like the look of Foxbodies, but I want to run 13s with minimal mods, I can't see myself doing that in a 5.0, with an F-Body its just a catback or ram air away.

just get whatever you like better as far as looks and comfort. both cars will be fast.
