94 Mustang wont start
Im new to the forums, so I figured I would start with a plea for help!
I have a 94 Mustang Standard Transmission (3.8). A few months ago I went out one morning to start it up and I got nothing. I knew it had an old battery so I figured it finally gave out. I replaced the battery. Still didnt work. I knew that the cables and clamps were also pretty worn down, so I went ahead and replaced those figuring that was the real problem. Still didnt work! Next, at the suggestion of many friends who are far wiser than I in the area of mechanics, I replaced my Starter and the solenoid. Still nothing. Also, when I try to turn it on all of the electrical in the car turns on, radio, lights etc.. and when I try to turn it on I dont get anything, maybe one click. But thats it. Any ideas? A friend suggested that there may be a starter relay under the dash some where.
Thanks,
Matthew

RE: 94 Mustang wont start
Right on w/ the diagnosis!!! Easiest & most obvious first.
(starter is the solonoid though...f.y.i.)
ALTERNATER NEXT
May want to check the junk yard (or ebay)...these f'ers are getting expensive as hell!

RE: 94 Mustang wont start
(Not that I know a heck of a whole lot about the inside of a car. But Im pretty sure that the solonoid is a part attached (at least in this case) to the starter, and can actually be replaced seperately. Again I dont know alot about it. but this Chilton book on 94 munstangs seems to have a pretty good idea.)
