Default 5.0 Dies In Heavy Traffic

My 95' 5.0 will just randomly die when your stopped at a stop light or any place else when your just idiling. Sometimes it won't die, but it will sound like its running out of gas and will then die. Does anybody know what would cause this and how I could fix it? Thanks.

my 95 does this too, but I havent drove it enough lately to have it do it again. I know it only does it in the heat. I will sort of sputter then die. I have to wait like 5 minutes or so to get it moving. I replaced the TFI module since somebody said that would be it. Didnt fix it. Somebody told me the stator, not sure about that (but its by the distributor or something). Somebody else has said CCRM, but havent done that either. The problem with something like this is its so random and doesnt throw any codes, so good luck trying to fix it without replacing every damn thing in the car. (as you can see I am slightly pissed off about it). Anyway, if you do fix it, let me know. There are quite of few 94/95 that have the same problem. I will look into the idle air control valve, but it happened to me once driving down the highway, no idling.....

if you are having problems just in heat then it's possible your fuel pump is going out. that's a really expensive fix but something to think about.

yeah, it does hum. I have been driving with around 1/4 tank full just in case the pump goes. That way its not that hard to drop.

Well, i've only had my car for like 3 days now and all of those days it has been in the 90's. It only seems to do it after I drive it for a long period of time. If you let it sit and cool for 5-10 minutes it will run fine.

yeah, just like mine. I have drive it for a while. If I just hop in, drive a little ways, its fine. But, cruising in town all day, it will do it. (only when its warm out though)
