It is supposed to give you another 5-8 hp, by totally unrestricting the air flow, but I am concerned about a possible lean condition

I really doubt that..to be honest. All it is is a tiny little screen, it can't be restricting 5-8 hp worth of air. Maybe your screen is dif. from my screen, who knows.

Also, not sure if the screen is in someway realted to the MAF sensor, but if it is, and you take it out, all hell will break loose within your computer...[sm=smiley5.gif]

The screen straightens out the air approaching the MAF sensor, which enable the MAS to get an accurate reading. The lack of a screen allows turbulent air to pass thru the MAF and could throw off the performance of your car. The air filter is supposed to straighten out the air, but I don't trust it. For the extra 5hp, that I wouldn't even notice, It is not worth it to me to play with.
