Or something like the Gumball Rally. To make one of these worth while you would need a massive amount of people, and public/media acknowledgement would help a lot.

I agree with Twister. I think it'd be a good idea to do something like a summer cruise. You would only need a few guys who could go the whole summer and then people could come and go as would be convenient for them based on location. It'd probably be in favor of MF too because the sponsors could have representives, tents, etc. all over the place.

A California week long run could be fun!
Start at California Speedway, run down the strip, hit the oval and also run the roadcourse, drive up to Buttonwillow, run that road course too, then up to Laguna Seca through the corkscrew,over to Sears Point and hit both the road course and the drag strip!
