Octane Booster

Octane Booster
Hi guys. I have a question about octane boosters and have searched quite a bit for an answer to my question, but have been unable to find anything other than "Octane boosters aren't worth the money."
A friend of mine bought a 2004 Cobra last week from Ohio. It has a ported supercharger and smaller pulley, and is tuned to run on 93 octane gas. Unfortunately, we only have access to 91 octane gas. Tonight was the first time the car was filled with 91 octane, and there was definate knock when the car pulled hard. This was absolutely NOT an issue running the 93 that he put into it before arriving home.
So, in the interest of eliminating engine knock when running 91 octane gas, is an octane booster worth the money? Is this a solution to the problem?
Thanks.

RE: Octane Booster
I've successfully used a couple different octane boosters, and have to use a booster with my '71 and '65. I personally use Amsoil now, but I've also used some of the inexpensive brands with good results.
