just got 86 gt where to start??
 

it just got my 86 gt about a month ago the engine only has about 15 000kms on it but has a bit of lifter noise where would be the first place to start besides the lifters for mods all ideas welcome

Might want to start with a compression test to get a better idea of the internal shape of your engine. If there are any issues then fix them, if not then mod away as you like.

compression check, and depending on funds a 331 or 347 stroker, gears, exhaust ,heads , cam , intake,

Pull a valve cover and see what's inside the engine. You may want to think about an engine flush if there's too much gook, or a rebuild/new crate (331 or 347 would be good).
