My opinion, is only valid, if the 2000 that your friend has, is not abused, destroyed, or a lemon.
I would say that if he is REALLY willing to trade (oh yea, and if the miles are lower as well) then take him up on it.
But before saying that , we should all ask what your future plans are. If you want a 12 second strip car, that is not used as a daily driver nearly as often, then you'd be wise to keep the fox.
However, if youre looking for something more reliable, better gas mileage, more daily driver friendly with a nicer more comfortable interior, then the 'new edge' would be a better investment.
I think you have to address your goals before jumping into this deal. Obviously, it would seem your friend is doing one of two things.
1. hopefully not this one, but he has a lemon, and is tryign to get rid of it on you for your fox
or
2. HE wants that 12 second strip car i described earlier and no longer wants a 'quick' daily driver

yes, if the stang 2k is in good condition go for it. all u'll need after that a good intake, UDP, exhaust, 4.10s and wet/dry nos..and u'll get some serious power without loosing significant fuel mileage
