Default Exhaust on a 351W, '89 LX

I'm running 2.5 inch pipes (dual) off of my 351W in my '89 LX. I'm looking to produce more "streetable" torque, i guess lower-end torque and hp, so i can edge out a ricer at a light. should i downsize? do i need to downsize the whole piping system after the headers? different mufflers? lemme know!

Get some cats. In a nutshell backpressure makes torque. So if your exhaust is totaly free flowing youre goin to lose out on torque but gain HP in the top end. So if you want more torque youre going to lose some top end. Maybe you should just stage it higher and let your HP do the work.
