Car is running wierd when cold and won't stay warm
well once its warm the idle is smooth but thats the problem it won't stay warm what soever, it stays near 130-140 btw its a 89 5.0 engine, could the thermostat be stuck open or what else could do this, because i loose brakes also when there isn't enough idle thanks guys

Sounds like you need a thermostat.
At least it is not
stuck in the closed position.
Make sure you buy a quality
T stat as the cheap replacements
will only last a year and you will
be doing a lot of labor again.
What is the rpms when the
brakes are working poor?

ok new t -stat in and even a air filter since mine was shot, got a nice big k&N, and it still idles low once in a while and when it goes to 550 the brakes don't work that great, what do i need to adjust, also the temp gauge may be off since they converted the 86 dash to a 89, so any help with idle would help
