Default Best way to seperate lower balljoint and steering knuckle??

I've hit this thing with a hammer and tryed prying at it and it's just not budging.. What else can I do?

Big F'n hammer and a ball joint separator works well. sometimes the BFH works all by itself. hit the knuckle around the area where the ball joint is in it (see that big bump about 1"x1" on the back).
