1988 5.0 car idling to high
 

Hey guys i just got my car all together it moves and everything but before i buth one side of the header on and take the polution pump off it idles around 1000rpms and without a belt and ****, but now i removed the air pollution pump put a shorter belt on and hooked up the headers and connected some vac lines it idles around 4000rpm i hooked the throttle cable up and made my own bracket cause it wasnt there i made sure it wasnt pullin on the cable ne suggestions?

I would suspect a vacuum line problem. Cap any that you can. Also, the lack of injected air may be confusing the computer...
