RE: Tip's on chaging my sprak plugs (NEED HELP PLEASE)
first off, dont use bosch plugs. i put those platnum ones with the 4 prongs im my ranger and they litterly fell apart in there and killed performance. i took those garbage plugs out and run motorcraft.
for my 5.0 i went to autolite platnums and noticed an increase in performance.

scar, it couldnt be any easier for you to change plugs! since your motor is a dohc, all you need is a spark plug socket, and a long extension. the plugs are located directly on top of the valve cover, where your wires are running to. since your car is stock, dont mess with the crappy 4 tip bosch, just get the stock ford replacements.

Depending on the year of your car, if it's a 99+ 4.6L, it's a real pain. You have to unhook the plug from the enertia switch in the trunk while it's running to use up fuel and releive pressure in the line, then unhook the fuel line in the engine bay, then remove the air intake tube from the throttle body, then remove the throttle body itself, then the fuel rail, and be careful not to damage the injectors or O rings on them since some will come off with the fuel rail, some will stay on the intake. Then you do one at a time by unbolting the coil on plug coil packs and remove them that way. They're way down in there. If it's a pre 99 4.6, I'm not sure how that is to do. If it's a 5.0, it's not bad at all.

i didnt have to do all that...
i removed the intake tube for room, the only itch's were the bolts holding in the coil packs. metal bolts + plastic coil pack threads = $%@!
other then that was very simple.

i changed the plugs on my 98 gt and not a problem at all, just took off the intake hose and popped the plugs out and put in the new ones, and put the hose back on. good as new.
