9Mod My 94 v. Buy Corvette v. Buy A Newer Mustang?
I have a 94 mustang gt with 105,000 miles on it. It is garage kept really great shape and runs great. I want to either buy a new mustang and mod it, buy a 99 corvette, or mod my car. If I buy another mustang it will most likly be another 5.0 with less miles. The reason I bring this up is if I put the money into my car to do some light mods I want to run it hard and Rpm it high often. I am affraid my car being higher milleage will either not last all that much longer or will not be able to take all the reving. The mods I want to do are exhaust system for a deep howl and what ever else makes these things sound great.
How long will my car last on average before it needs work?
BTW my mustang is stock and my buddy just bought a 96 GT with exhaust, throttle bodies, air intake and I beat him in 3 races. I drove his car and really loved the sound. I did notice that he had alot less traction as in I floored it on the road and was skidding. Is it possible that my 94 came with a locking rear from the factory and his did not? Did they make these in 94? I wouldent want to drive his in the rain. Thanks for opinions in advance

It depends how much money your looking on spending. You could buy a dart block and build a new engine, then not only would you have a great platform for mods, but you would have a new engine. Really, 1050000 miles is not that much for a 5.0. If i was you i would probably buy the 99 vette, just because it has an LS1, and then I would mod the hell out of it. An LS1 with HCI and exhaust can make the power of a 5.0 with HCI and a supercharger. Go with what you like. If you like vette's, go with that, if you like stangs, go with that.

How many miles will an average 94 gt last? I would love to put a full exhaust system on it but I want to get at least 220,000 miles out of it without rebuilding or doing major repairs. How possible is that? Thanks

What is the average life of a 94 mustang GT mileage wise? I proally need a new front rim and new rear tire. Im debating fixing it or just getting one with lower miles. What mileage do these on averageneed rebuilds on anything or work? Thanks
