Default front right tire AHH!!!

I noticed today that both of my front tires looked a little low. i went and filled em up but when i kneeled down to fill the front right tire, i noticed that there was a chunk of rubber mssing from the side wall. less than 1 square inch but the steel belt is showing. the hole is much closer to the rim than to the tread. is this ok to drive on or do i need a new tire?

I wouldn`t take a chance at all. Get new tires at least in the front. Its not good if you have a ***** of rubber missing.

You'd be much worse if it was a chunk missing instead of a *****, though.

OK! now that that is fixed...

Should I really not drive until I have a new tire?

Well...that part of the tire is just more likely to blow out from a pressure increase...like if you hit a pot hole, or take a turn to sharp. Putting more pressure on that spot could make it blow and send you into a world of possible accident scenarios.
