hey Ford gurus --need help locating oil senders
I asked this question at explorer forums .com but I am waiting on a moderator to authorize my question for posting...
whats up with that???????? how do I find the oil sender on a 2001 explorer sport trac ( it is failing) and how do I find it on my 1990 vert so i can fix the explorer and test pressure on the stang. is there a website with diagrams??? I tried autozone but it had no location for it. thanks for your help |

All of them are usually where the filter screws on the motor.

yea thats what I expected to find but I don't see anything in the area.(explorer) I have to check again tommorrow but I think I need to find a single green/white wire and follow it to the sender. once I attempt it on the explorer I will then check out the stang.

AWESOME-AWESOME-AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
I had to buy a 13/16 deep socket and get to it through the wheel well, but I did it!!!!! I love this car stuff- I wish I had done this earlier in life- think of all of the money I could have saved. I just did a rear axle on my 2000 crown vic police interceptor (WHo da thunk) and now this. this is my 2nd explorer I had a 93 and now a 2001.. I just also got a 1990 Mustang GT convertible with only 38,000 miles on it. As you can see I like FORDS. Thanks for the help!!!!! |
