Hi,

I'm trying to improve the handling on my 73 Mach, 351 Cleveland 4V.

I currently have the factory aluminum mags (14" 78 series). They're nice but I want it to handle better.

What I want to do is increase the wheel diameter to a 15" or 16" rims and go with a lower series, say 50 or 60 and keep the tire height I currently have.

Has anyone done this? If so, do you have a link on where I can find some nice rims that will fit this car?

When I ask at local tire shops, they have a stare much like a deer in headlights!

if you want better handling in the turns, you should go with a 17 or 18.

Better handling is what I'm looking for. I want to keep the same overall tire height that I have now on my 14" 78 series setup. I don't want to get into spring changes. (limited budget).

I'm looking for anyone that knows how big a wheel I can go to and still keep the orig tire height.

what size tire is it. give the numbers, example: 245/75/14.

if you get those numbers i could tell you tire size, tire height, and wheel size to use.

I'm running 225/78/14 radials on it now.

I may go a bit wider at least in the back.

with a 17 inch wheel you can use a 245/55/17 in front and a 275/50/17 out back.fo a 16 inch wheel you can run a 245/60/16 in front and a 275/55/16 in back. if you used these tire sizes you wouldnot have to recalibrate your speedo.
