Default 17x10.5 on a Fox GT?

I was wondering if anybody knew what would be involved in fitting 17x10.5 on the rear of my 87 GT. I've read that the quad shocks might be in the way. Is there a better suspension sollution that would elliminate the rear lower shocks? I know the fenders might/would have to be rolled a little. And I know its possible, but the car had a narrowed 9" read end. I plan on doing a rear disc conversion, and possible rear end swap. But does anybody know for sure? Thanks John

Without some fab. I highly doubt they'll fit. Now on 94-newer yea it'll fit no prob.

your can get a 10.0 rims under there with a lil massaging and the quad shock will have to go you will need a 6.0 or 6.5 back space
