I just tested my fuel pressure becuase i have some hard starting issues... the psi's r a constant 39-40,but after i switch the key off the pressure drops immediately to 0psi w/ a matter of seconds....

Im pretty sure that the fuel system should hold some pressure after the pump is switched off. right? if im right, im thinking that the FPR is bad what do you all think? this is for my pretty much stock 95 cobra.

yes the system is supposed to hold risidual pressure, you could have a bad pressure regulator thats not closing all the way allowing fuel to flow back to the tank, or a leaky fuel injector soaking the pistons when your turn the key off, you can do fuel pressure drop test, but it requires the trigger that u hook up to each injector and record pressure drops to find wich injector may be sticking open or closed. what was the initial problem that made you want to test the fuel pressure?

Well i hate having to pretty much prime my engine before starting which is like key on crank, crank..wait a sec crank,vroom. as well it seems to stumble once it finally kicks in and starts to stop.
Could the problem also be related to a check valve in the fuel pump...suggested on another forum
