A stock engine can take quite a bit of boost pressure. What kills it is the detonation and heat. Thats where the charge cooler comes in. If you have the proper tune joined with a properly selected charge cooler, 11psi of boost shouldnt be any trouble.

detonation is heat, the cylinder walls get to hot and ignite the fuel before the spark is lit, resulting in the piston before forced down during compression stroke at apprx 10 times the strength of the rod carrying it..... why so many people throw rods and cranks, and the crank absorbs it all as long as the rod stays in one piece. if so, timing gets thrown back(knock sensor) and bearing life becomes short lived... read my other post about quality numbers and build from there forced induction is great for efficiency, but harsh on an engine, besides to run 11 psi boost, you would have to change cams anyway, no valve overlap on forced induction
