Tightening seat bolts ?

Tightening seat bolts ?
I've got LX seats in my GT (not installed by me) and they are loose and crooked. Anyone know how to get to the nuts for the front seats to tighten them and is there a trick to getting the seat straight?

you gotta slide the seat back to get at the bolts holding the front, and forward to get at the bolts in back. Four total, one at each corner. On mine the holes are not elongated or anything and just having them fully tightened keeps the seat straight, dunno if this helps but its what i know.

what he said will get the whole seat and mounting bracket out after you unplug the electrical connection. then turn the seat upside down and you can check the slide adjustment mechanism to see if the seat is mounted tightly onto it also. same deal, slide it back to get to the front end bolts and forward to get to the back ones. you can also see the latching mechanism that stops the seat movement to see if both sides are lined up in the same slot with each other so the seat moves parallel to the frame. if you remove the spring connection the side, you can move one relative to the other to get them lined up properly and then replace the spring and reinstall the seat into the floorboard.

I can't get a wrech to the nuts that hold that attach the front of the seat to the floor. There is a bolt that goes through the seat frame and in a hole in the floor. I can see the nut but I can't access it. It's in a raise area on the floor.

not familiar with the LX seats, but you should be able to slide the seat all the way back and this should open us access to the front bolts. they are studs sticking up through the floor with nuts on them. if this don't work with the LX seats, try taking the seat off the adjustment brackets instead and then you can get to the floor bolts that way I'm sure. you do have to put the seat all the way both ways to expose the bolts that hold the seat to the sliding bracket. these bolts face up and go into threaded holes on the seat frame, at least they do on my GT seats anyway.

There's my problem. I don't have studs sticking up, I have bolts going down. My guess is someone modified the original studs and now I have something else to straighten out. thanks for your help. You da man.
