Default Mustang Graphics

Has anyone had any experience with hood/body stripes from Graphic Express or a similar type of stripe? Their stripes sound like they apply like window tint: spray on the solution, squegee the stripe out & let it dry. Do these stripes look good & do they stay on very long?

I believe like all vinal graphics the secret is in
appluing a solution of dish washing and water
fluid.
The object is to slide the vi
The object is to slide the vinal around till
it fits perfect and then squeegee it out.
I heard of a guy that attempted to put a 80
Turbo trans am eagle ($350) on his new painted car
without the water mix. What a disaster.

These graphics on my 72 911 were hand made.

Stickers are like fake tatoos, they are for little kids to play with.If you want stripes or other designs, get them painted on.

You guys are aware, aren't you, that every graphic you've ever seen on a Mustang from the factory, from the Boss 302, through the 76 Cobra II, the 85 GT, all the way up to the Shelby stripes on the 05+ cars, are decals? The only ones I can think of with painted stripes are the early Shelby cars.

Hi, I've bought from Graphic-Express before and they sell quality products. Although I haven't gotten hood stripes yet I have the side fader and fader in between the taillights. They have nice straight clean sharp edges and are 3M material. Best in my opinion. I do have another brand Mustang letters on the trunk that were 3M also and were fine. But don't buy the cheap stuff you see on Ebay. I did once just for the letters on the sill plates and had to clean them up with a razor to make them work. The other posts are correct in painted on stripes but I don't have the $1200-$1500 I was quoted to do it that way. So in the spring I'll do the tape stripes too but wax them to last longer. As far as lasting I did side stripes on a 95 Mustang that looked fine after 6 years. One other thing I did a thread on appling and most said a professional would be the best to apply the tape stripes at $150 labor. I found bubbles can be a real pain even just doing letter let alone stripes.

The factory does stuff like this to sella car. After you buy the car it's up to you to fix it up like it should be.Just because the factory makes mistakes there's no reason everyone elso has to go out and do it too.

There is nothing wrong with a decal, especially factory ones.
It gives you the option to remove or change it if you do not like it. I dont think they are bad and I probably wouldnt put one on unless it was for my 95' Mach1 clone. If I dont like how the hood stripe looks over the hood then I can always take it off, if I dont like the rocker sticker then I can take it off, I would prefer that then painted.

But to each his own.
