Default RE: Small block in 95 and up mustang?

The 94-95 Mustang had a K-Member in the V6, GT and Cobra model that was the same and was intended for Windsor use. Anything from a 289 to a 351W can be dropped into the 94-95 K-Member without a problem except in the case of the 351W where hood clearance would be the only issue.

In 1996 the K-Member changed to ring in the new era of the 4.6L mod motor, the K- member is different and does not accept the windsor type engine, but the k-member itself can be swapped out using a stock peice or purchasing an aftermarket tubular K-Member from quality producers such as Maximum Motorsports or Griggs Racing.

Do no quote me as an absolute but I think the 96-98 V6 model retained the 94-95 K-Member as the engine itself was not changed untill 2004 in which a 3.9L Windstar engine was used though the mounting possitions were still the same. 2005 is when the new 4.0L 60 degree block came to us and changed things all over again. So possibly a 96-98 V6 K-Member and maybe a 99-04 K-Member, but do not quote me on this because I have not seen it or read about it but in theory it would be the same, in theory.
