Ok guys need some advice here, I'm very active at another mustang forum but I'm trying to get some different inputs for my situation.

Here's the deal, I've been driving a 1998 mustang v6 for about a year now, I have close to $12,000 invested with purchase+ mods. Ironically, my car was up for sale (asking 8) and I get in a WRECK ( GO FIGURE!). Short story... guy cut me off, I ran into the back of him, he decided not to stop and ran.


The front bumper is trashed, the headlights are hanging out ( I hope I didnt break the housings) and the corner lights shatterd. I've been looking around for a new bumper, but unfortanlty anything good ( like urethane) is some what expesnive. I'm estimating (would love if some one with some experience could correct me) that the painting/install of the new bumper will run me around $500. Remember I was just about to sell it...

So what do I do?
A) Find the cheapest parts possible to fix it then sell it?
B) Maybe get a nice looking, aftermarket bumper, some nice lights, and then try to sell it...

What do yall think?? And where should I order from?

I saw a stock bumper here for $80...

Go with option A)

You never recoupe mod money when selling a car,, so don't sink more $'s modding it now

You don't really have a choice...you have to fix it or you will get next to nothing for the car...buy the cheapest parts you can find...get it painted and get rid of it....

I agree you should fix the car as cheaply/decently as possible. Also if theres anything as far as mods go that you could take out and sell or use you should take it off the car before selling. You usually don't get anything more for a modded car than stock and people tend to not like to buy modded cars so it's better all around to just de-mod a car before selling.
