Sounds like everyone has given you some solid advice... so follow all those tips. I've driven my 00 stang in the snow before and I don't have anything more than weights in the back of my car. I don't remember how much is back there, but I'm all prepped for winter.

I dunno what i did bein the rednecked north dakotan that i am heh, i took a 100 lb tractor balance weight and put it in the trunk. its small and dense as hell works perfect. that and studded snow tires helps so much

My '03 has traction control. Will this help with winter driving? We don't get a tremendous amount of snow here but the roads are not always well groomed and in the 6 years I've lived here we've had 2 bad ice storms and I suspect this year may be another one. Just wondering how the Traction Control will effect my driving.

wohoo first real snow in NY today I have a 02 GT it's not that bad the only weight I had in the back was the mach 1000. Traction control def. helps, doesn't stop the back from coming out a little but does help it from swinging all the way around (mess up bad enough it still will). Just gotta remember to keep of that damn gas pedal in the turns [sm=imsmilin.gif]. Fun in empty parking lots though, donuts with ALOT less tire wear. btw got 245/45 Toyo Proxes 4s in the Back seem to handle decently.
