You probably will never see Ford or Chevy making a mass-production, bang for your buck car with big HP. I'm not talking, 10-20,000 cars, I'm talking about 100,000-150,000.

Way back when Dinosaurs roamed the earth there was no such thing as government regulations, and there were 20 different cars to choose from with 454's & 427's & 327's, 396's, 350's...whatever you wanted.

That whole statement is annoying to some people. Go buy a used GT, or a used Z28, spend the extra money you would for a brand new car on the motor & bam, big HP.

On a serious note. Why would they need to put those big *** motors in new muscle anyways. Its all about working smarter, not harder. Im sitting on 285hp/305fpt and still getting 26 mpg. After I get my "Preditor" its gonna be 315hp/360fpt with a measily 22 mpg with just a flick of a switch. Cant see old muscle do that. Smaller engine = lighter block, unless larger motor is aluminum of course. Old stangs dont have a 5 point rear suspension. And ANY car will last 30 years if treated right. I know that plastic doesnt rust. I vote for the 99+ models. I think they look better too. Interior could use an upgrade for the 03s though.

Well, based on body style, I'm a fan of the foxes, that's why I have one, so I'll go with the 87-93 gt's. I like the 99+ models probably as my 2nd fav. then I'd have to go back a while for my 3rd.

i personally don't really like the mustangs after the fox.....way too heavy. My favorite mustangs would have to be from 1964 1/2- 1973, the muscle car era and the fox bodies from 79-93. the 2005 looks cool i liked how they brought back orginal styling from the 60s
