What is the definition of

Jegs and a few other places sell a little kit that bolts under your car. 

The slider bolts just before any cats,mufflers and pipe. So you have 4 pipes, two rear and two side. When you flip the switch in your car to OPEN the slider slides from the legal exhaust system and reroutes to the side exits making it a straight pipe deal. -- It's really nice, my bud has it on a '33 Ford he built. He'll be at a light and someone will come revvin' -- he looks at them, flips the switch and all of a sudden that low ford rumble becomes that 1/4 mile-beat-ur-****-straight-pipe sound....and with a 500hp engine....he can pretty much back it up if he had to......

Yea, theyre call exhaust blow downs. Most rodders put them just before the mid-pipe right after the headers. Chevies can handle the no back pressure, but Im not sure how fords would work with it.
