Got a 93 LX stock w Long tubes, pulleys, 3.73, home made 3" mass air,run13.98@99mph
Just got off the phone ordering Afr185's, ProProd Typhoon intake, 70mm TB EGR, scorpion 1.6 RR, TFlow 6.25 5/16 pushrods and a cold air intake.$2200. Later I can't afford to rebuild right away or get new pistons and am planning on bolting on and having fun.
Anyone know for sure if the stock cam and 185's will work without modding the pistons?

you might get by with the stock cam but you sure as hell better check the piston to valve clearance before you attempt to fire the motor. last I read said you wanted to have .125" p-v clearance on a street engine.

Yeah me and my brother are going to check all the specs, I was just trying to find some peace of mind before I got started.
